Badrinath Kedarnath Temple Committee President, Ajendra Ajay, disclosed that Varun Gandhi arrived in the morning for darshan at Kedarnath Dham, while Rahul Gandhi had been at the location for the past three days. Rahul Gandhi briefly met Varun Gandhi before his departure. Earlier this year, when Rahul Gandhi was on his 'Bharat Jodo Yatra,' he addressed questions about Varun Gandhi's political alignment and stated that they had different ideologies.

Although they can have affectionate family meetings, their political beliefs do not align, and Rahul Gandhi emphasized that he could not accept Varun's ideology. Varun Gandhi is ten years younger than Rahul Gandhi, and in 2011, Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi did not attend Varun Gandhi's wedding.
